Notes / Commercial Description: Nestled in a valley just south of New Zealand’s Tasman Bay sits Freestyle Hop Farms – a farm that has inspired us with their dedication to direct hop supply and transparent lot selection. We connected with Freestyle through our friends Garage Project and the 2019 Hāpi Festival – you’ve seen crops of their work on display in past draft-only Permutation beers. Learn more about this partnership on our blog.

Sunrise Valley is a double IPA brewed with the folks from Garage Project, and featuring Freestyle Farms’ Rakau and Nelson Sauvin varietals. The name pays homage to the beautiful little corner of the world that these hops were born in. Pouring a noticeably hazy golden yellow straw, Sunrise Valley lifts mouthwatering, dank aromas of citrus rind and bright tropical fruit. Lively flavors of white grapefruit, lemon peel and orange pith take the lead on the palate alongside complementary notes of ripe pineapple and mango. With a modest biscuit malt backbone and a pleasant floral bitterness, Sunrise Valley has a clean and balanced finish.
