If you visit Martha’s Vineyard, Bad Martha Brewing is a spot you should check out. With seven beers on tap and changing daily you can be sure they will have a beer that you will like. When you pull in, you think the place is a landscaping places/ice cream shop, but Bad Martha sits right in the middle of both. Basically find parking where you can and head for the entrance.
At the entrance you will be greeted with a porch and hanging swings. The building is surrounded by plenty of floral and has a fair amount of seating for patrons. After entering you will see the signature Mermaid and a long bar with the brewery behind the bar. This isn’t where all Bad Martha Beers the mainstays are made but its more like a testing facility. The head brewer informed us that most of the mainstays are brewed and bottled off location for logistics purposes. But this gives craft beer lovers the opportunity to test some fresh new hops while vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard.
The tap room offers the ability to purchase merchandise from t-shirts to mugs and everything in between. Now that you have your fresh craft beers you can hang out inside around the bar or find the sun on their large patio. The patio has plenty of seating and offers a variety of games to pass the time. These games include ring toss, board games and corn-hole. During our visit we played some ring toss with the head brewer while hops grew around us. Next time you visit Martha’s Vineyard make sure you stop in to see Bad Martha and enjoy some of their delicious craft beer.
